We have 4 virtually identical 27” iMACs that were all purchased within 30 days of each other and with the same specifications (RAM, HDD, Processor, etc.). OS 10.6.8 on all machines and it is updated regularly.
We have very recently purchased the full Creative Cloud software for all four of them. Three of these systems run the software just fine with no problems at all. On one of the systems, all of the core programs run and perform fine except for Illustrator, which does not launch.
When first installed, the Illustrator on that machine would launch, but sort of incompletely. There would be missing pallets, greyed out items in the menu, even on a new document, and performance was very sluggish. We then uninstalled just the Illustrator portion, since everything else worked OK, and now Illy will not even launch like it should.
I have ran the permission and disk repair utilities and uninstalled / reinstalled twice.
Is there anything else to try?
