New Reshape tool "Unusable"

I used the word "Unusable" because that's what it is, if I need to do the tasks I've used it for, for the last, oh, 20 years.

Try this:

1. Create a curved path including 4 or 5 anchor points.
2. Delete one of the points along the path.
3. Now try to drag the changed line segment back into place, to closely match the original line. It CAN'T be done with the new "improved" reshape tool

The tool is fine if you have no defined shape to achieve, but is useless for refining traced lines.

Adobe, have you gotten this message? This is MORE than a little inconvenient. It is a crying shame.
