Best practise for new document

This follows on from my previous post. I've started a new post to concentrate on workflow. I hope thats ok....

So...

I have an A4 artboard that I wish to use for 3 x identical flyers.

I have determined that my printer can only print 5mm to the page edge.

In order to save time cropping off white boarders once the document is printed I will incorporate a 5mm white boarder into the flyer design.

I have used guides to layout the document as shown here:

Is this the correct way to proceed? Is there a way to change the colour of individual guides to indicate their use?

For the two cuts I will need to make to seperate the three flyers, how should I apply crop marks? Should I manually draw them in or is there a dedicated feature within the software that I should use?

Thanks.
