Curved bar charts (or line growth)

Hi Illustrator.

Can you add line growth (as in after effects - based on percentage) into illustrator so that making graphs as these is less cumbersome(the math involved is tedious and boring esp. with multiple lines)!
It could be very simple: you draw a line, and have a check box to set the start and stop % of a line. Just like the scale properties or arrow heads. the plus on this is: top examples are possible too. Basically its the same idea as in after effects. The good part is, that the bottom example and top example could be built with the same technique. I would be honored if this feature gets its way into illustrator.
