Embed tiff image

Hello everyone, i have some problem with Illustartor

 

I've made a graphic in Photoshop (CMYK, FORGRA 27 for print) with the right TAC of black. I saved it into tiff image format (FORGRA 27 color profile included). Then I need to put image into Illustrator, but it completly changes TAC of black color when I put image into Illustrator. Somewhere on the internet I've read that the definitions of CMYK color are actually OK, that is not possible to gauge color by using Eyedroper... Am I right?

Live Paint Suddenly Changed??? PLEASE!!!!

Grr. I have jusgt recently began using live paint and I was in love with it! I live painted an entire illustration and then after almost completing my poster, I noticed my illustration had changed. I used a lot of gradients in my illustration and they were all gone, and there is this black stroke around all of my work. WTF happened!!! 1939589_710429872340709_1315689908978311275_o.png

Error massage when loading illustrator

Hi

 

I'm getting an error message when i'm loading the illustrator app on mac OS.

The message is:

"Error loading plugins. wacexportfile.aip"

 

Pls advice.

Saturation Color Varies Between Files

I'm using Illustrator 5.5. When I view 2 files that contain the same basci vector art, one is more saturated than the other? suggestions on why this is happening?

Password Protected PDF? Major Fail

Have just found to my cost that this is as much use as a chocolate fireguard.  Anyone with a mac can open a pasword protected PDF, out of Illustrator, with 'Preview'.

Re-save and now open in Illustrator allowing the artwork I spent 4 hours on to be sent to another signmaker. Client said, "the other company only charged me £200".  Well, that's because he used the artwork I thought I had protected.

Can I use images interfaces of various programs (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, etc.) on the site banner? Will not it be considered a violation of the license or any other rights of Adobe?

Pathfinder Divide with a Grid Problem

When I attempted to make a grid in CS5 (Mac) in order to create equal-sized rectangles using the Pathfinder Divide tool, all the lines disappeared and I got an error message.  Random overlapping lines divided properly with the tool, but not the grid lines.  Please advise.

Can't copy from illustrator to indesign?

Alright, first the essentials: I'm using CC for all my software and I'm on OSX (10.7.5).

 

I am doing some vector outlines of photos that already exist. Many of these photos have clipping paths on them which, when I open them in illustrator, seem to show up as paths. Awesome! I can just drop a stroke on there and save myself a bunch of time.

 

That works fine in illustrator, but if I then if I try to copy/paste the outlines into InDesign, I get an error that says "Illustrator import failed. Scrap contains no visible objects."

 

Creating the outlines brand new with the pen tool works fine and copies over as usual, but if I can save myself a few hours and use the existing paths, that would sure be helpful. Hopefully this is just a setting somewhere or something that I'm missing. Any ideas?

what is the best way to keep new swatches in workspace ... have selected persistant repeatedly ---> is there a folder i can put the files in like a more permanent plug in?  Not very savy with plug-ins .... thanks

Illustrator converting paths to embedded images

I have a funky issue that I've come across. I have several files that were made using Illustrator CS3. There is a particular type of path item in them (a basic shape path with gaussian blur applied to them) that when I open up the file using CS6 that path item is treated by Illustrator like it's a embedded image.

I've remade those items as an actual path item with gaussian blur applied, and all seems fine until I save and re-open the file, they become embedded images again. I'm thinking it might be an issue with a setting somewhere but I'm not finding it.

I have several files of the same type that don't have this issue but I'm not finding any difference between them. At this point I'm stumped...any suggestions?

problem opening illustrator CC document

I tried open an adobe illustrator CC document in Ai CC in mac environment but it prompted me that the file is in an unknown format and cannot be opened.

I am clueless...any one know why? please advise me. appreciate your help alot!

How do I filter my Help search to eliminate unrelated items?

I'm working in Illustrator CS 5, but this question really applies to any Adobe product:

 

How do I get the Help search to limit results to items related to the actual program I'm using, and to the subject I enter in the search bar?

For example, if I type "join" in the search bar and select Illustrator from the dropdown menu, and check "Adobe Reference Only" the first 6 items I get are about javascript and SQL programming. This happens for any help search I do. I assume there's a way to get useful results from the Help search and I'm just missing it.

Suggestions, anybody?

Illustrator CS5.5 Error Message

Hi - I am getting the following message when launching my CS5.5 Design Premium (Illustrator) on my iMac: Application Moved! The application has been moved, and its path has changed. To update the product configuration, click  Update or Don't Update? How do I fix this? It just started this and I have been running this program since 2011 without problems. I did not move it so how did it get moved? Thank you.

Justified text wrap error CC vs CS6

I have a client that requires text files be set up in CS6. I have set up columns of justified text in CS6 but I have several words that are flowing outside the text box. When I open the file in CC it appears correctly.

 

I tried saving some test files from CC in CS6 format but still no go. Attached are images of the issue. I really hate to use forced line breaks. Is there some other setting that I'm not aware of that could help?

 

I much prefer to use InDesign for text formatting but all pharmaceutical packaging companies pretty much require the use of Illustrator and most are still using CS6 or CS5 so I'm stuck.

Gradient mesh tool problem

On screen everything looks as it should, but when printed the shape with the gradient mesh doesn't come out correctly. It appears as a solid grey shape.

 

The strainge thing about this is that I have used this file several times before as a templete (for a product line) and never had an issue...

Black as grey???!!!

Well, I'm about to pull my hair out.  haven't had a big problem with this before but now whenever I open an Illustrator CS6 file in Photoshop, or save the files as jpeg/etc, my blacks are always turning out grey. I have tried using rich black and changing from CMYK to RGB to see if there's any difference, but nothing has worked. It doesn't seem to do it with text but with my detailed vector artwork or shapes, which is getting very frustrating when I need to save off a logo and all the little black pieces are dark grey. Does anyone know how to fix this??

is there anyway of converting a photoshop object to illustrator, I have painted an object in photoshop and tried to place the object in illustrator but it comes up with a white background and the quality of the image seems to have degraded?
