Comment vectoriser une photo hyper détaillée ?

Bonjour à tous,

 

J'ai un fichier jpeg 300 dpi crée sous photoshop à partir de plusieurs éléments combinés dont une photo basse déf d'un arbre bref un photomontage. J'ai besoin d'utiliser cette image pour la réalisation d'une bâche publicitaire donc très grande donc fichier vectoriel !

Comment dois-je procéder ? Dois-je reprendre les éléments composants l'images séparément, les vectoriser sous AI et les réassembler après. Ou je peux vectoriser l'ensemble d'un coup ? Et quels sont les réglages adaptés pour des photos très fines : arbre avec pleins de feuilles de tous les verts possibles, lame de bois type parquet avec veinage et céruse, etc... J'ai fait des tests mais rien de très concluant ! Help, merci par avance !

Preferences in Illustrator

Hi, I have installed Illustrator and bought a Wacom tablet, and today have discovered that the zoom control on the tablet doesn't work in Illustrator because of a software problem. I could correct it through Preferences/tools - but in preferences there is NO Tools option. I am using Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.3 which is the latest version? I downloaded it from the creative cloud. Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance.

PDF workflow edit makes file size larger

i have a customer that provides print ready PDFs that i typically proof and print. i had a few that the bleed was not saved properly. trying to save deadline time by fixing myself vs going back to customer or original designer to modify. when i opened them in illustrator (cc15/3.0.0), and File>Document Setup>enter (x amount) Bleed, and Save file, the file size goes from original 9.8mb to 136mb. it is a bus shelter ad backlit with high res product image, vector logos, and text with special effects (drop shadows etc). i've played with a simple "Save", "Save as", and testing with each of the default options from the pull down on the PDF save menu (default, high quality printing, press quality, and smallest) and get varying file sizes after save from a low of 24mb up to 136mb. the "smallest" compresses the large high res images to an unusable print resolution and the render intents of the shadow effects do not match, leaving the ghosted gray/white box in my onyx RIP... so that option will not work for print production. i've tweaked the advanced options and still cannot figure out why i am seeing such file "bloat". i would like to be able to find an easy way to edit the bleed without having to open in illustrator in case opening the PDF needs fonts not installed (or i just don't have), or the file trying to re-link high res images not provided, etc with having only the PDF to work from. it's not bad with this one group of files, but i tried it on a larger file as part of my testing and that open/edit/save took the original PDF from 68mb to 371mb, a huge difference that would tie up more storage and slow down RIP processing to printers if this were a majority of my workflow for that day.

 

how would you handle this?

 

am i making too much of an issue of file bloat from original?

 

any tips to making the edits and saving so file size is in same general range as original?

Gradient in stroke

I made a little handwritten font just with the pen tool. I also changed the stroke and brush type. When I try to change the stroke colour to a gradient, it doesn't have the desired effect and instead turns black. is there any way that I can achieve having a gradient for the stroke colour?

ai files mysteriously change to indd files

Hi,

 

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this before but lots of my Illustrator files now show as .indd files.  I haven't changed them and even the ones that I haven't open in ages show up as .indd files.  The files open as an Indesign document which isn't a massive problem because each Illustrator file is also saved as a Hi Res PDF document that I can take back into Illustrator.  Is there a way of changing the Indesign documents back to Illustrator documents or a way to stop this from happening in future?

Illustrator not responding

Hi, I have Creative Cloud CS6 Illustrator CC 2015.3 and I have problem's with it not responding the problem happens randomly I get a message saying it is NOT RESPONDING it mostly happens when I try to export my artwork. I click on EXPORT AS then I select AUTO CAD INTERCHANGABLE DXF file format and then it starts saving it and that is usually when it stops responding, I would appreciate help as soon as possible please I have a job that I need to get done God bless you all thank you very much sincerely Randy

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

When I open Illustrator (CC) it also opens a window for OS_ViewContainer which I cannot view or close. It shows in my taskbar as a second window for Illustrator when mousing over the Ai icon. I have tried to select it with no luck. I have tried to clear it using the red X, no luck. It does close when I close Illustrator. Just wondering why it is there and if I should be concerned.

Oh, running Windows 10.

Saving a small png in Illustrator

I'm designing some ads for a client and they are 300x250 and 320x50. I created them in Illustrator and they look clear when I'm going to save for web and use PNG-24. When I open them on preview though they come out blurry, I have tried saving them with type optimized and image optimized. I've tried SVG, PNG, JPEG but they all come out blurry. The only one that is clear is a pdf but the vendor does not accept that. Anyone having this issue or have advice?

Can't Edit Creative Cloud Charts

When I insert a Creative Cloud chart, and click the "edit in Creative Cloud" button, all I get is a blank page with nothing to edit.

What am I doing wrong?

New Collect for Export feature issue

I love that this feature has been added, makes it much easier to export for a web design project. However, this issue that I am having is making my work much harder rather than making it easier with this new feature.

 

When I click a vector object and collect it for export, it exports beautifully no problem. When I am clicking an object/image that is inside of a clipping mask, when exported it has a large amount of blank space on all 4 sides of the object.  I don't know if this is a glitch, or if this is just not what this feature is meant for, but it is a struggle to use this when a majority of what I export is not usable this way.

 

I have been resorting to saving for web like I was using before, and exporting for screens but this is much more time consuming than I want.

i7 5820k 6 core with hyper threading / gtx 1060 6gb card SLUGGISH

I spend a ton of time in Illustrator CC 2015.   Nothing fancy, single layers.  I do love my effects tho.  Drop shadows, inner/outer glows and gaussian blur.

 

I upgraded my hardware form an i5 2500 to a i7 5820k.  I upgraded my gtx 760 2gb to a gtx 1060 6gb card.    I upgrade my memory from 8gb to 32gb.  I went from DDR3 to DDR4.     I upgraded my Samsung high end SATA SSD to a Samsung 950 m.2 SSD that is 5x faster.    All my benchmarks are great.

 

Illustrator however is SLUGGISH.  It hasn't gotten any better from my old hardware.   I've been through the official optimizing page and maybe it helped a tiny iota but mostly not I think its placebo.

 

What does it take to get good performance out of Illustrator?

Text Import Options pop up every time I launch Illustrator 2015.3

I recently updated all my CC apps and Illustartor is now apparently with a bug.

 

Every time I launch Illustrator it pops an option window with "Text Import Options". If I click OK or Cancel, it pops again, and this repeats about 6-7 times. Then Illustrator launches (but takes a while).

 

How can I stop this prompt?

Saving .eps in illustrator with clipping path

Hi,

 

I need to save an image out of illustrator as and eps that has a clipping path on it,

 

now i have been doing this for years but the new update seems to include what is below the clipping path in my file. EgScreen Shot 2016-08-12 at 08.15.11.png

this i the file i want to save, the image has been clipped so the only part I want is visible in illustrator, but if i save this then distill it for example it will include the clipped image and ends up looking like this

Now for the printer I use it has to be an EPS, so pdf isn't an option. also I know i can go save to artboard but I don't really want to do this as I can just see mistakes being made.

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

I found a way to add new word for listed language, but my language is not listed on default (Indonesian).

Can someone confirm if this is a bug please?

 

I'm creating a series of embedded images and then adding them to various groups, here's a simplified version to recreate bug

 

   var file = new File("/Users/Greg/Desktop/image.png");      var img = app.activeDocument.placedItems.add();   img.file = file;   img.position = Array(0, 0);   img.embed();      var parent = app.activeDocument.groupItems.add();   img.move(parent, ElementPlacement.INSIDE);   parent.translate(50, -50);

 

For me it seems to be duplicating the image... one embedded image at 0,0 and a linked image inside the parent group at 50,-50

While it is possible to create 'img' by doing parent.placedItems.add() this isn't really an ideal solution in my current project
