Hello I somehow managed to get a black outline around my shapes (as seen in the attachment) which I would like to know how to do. I have no idea how I did this! Can anyone help?

can't put path in place where i want !

it get back to the original place
it's like there are some places where you can't drag the path or whatever ..., i have this problem A LOT which lead me to change the Whole design in that part . please if can someone help me, thank's in advance .

Is there any way to find out what brush is applied to a path?
I'm trying to write a script: select some paths, run the script, then each path that has a brush applied to it is changed to use a random brush whose name is sufficiently similar to its current brush. The application is pretty obvious - draw a bunch of lines in, say, 'ragged marker 1', then give it some extra liveliness by having five or six 'ragged marker' brushes that get randomly chosen.
The problem I'm running against is that as far as I can tell, Illustrator only lets Javascript set what brush an object is using with brush.applyTo (artItem), but I can't seem to find any way to find out what path a brush is currently using via JS.
Am I just not looking in the right place of the Javascript reference, or is this really a thing that only has a setter, with no corresponding getter?

Illustrator not working?

I tried uninstalling and installing, but it took forever. So, I quit Creative Cloud and now I can't find Creative Cloud on my Mac (not in toolbar anymore). When I tried reinstalling Creative Cloud, it said that there is another one open (there isn't).

I need help duplicating this design
Hello all,
I recently had a friend do a design for my band. I have a jpg that I've been using in smaller format work like stickers/etc. But I'm looking to duplicate the design in Illustrator now so I can use it for screenprinting, etc. I have managed to duplicate the basic paths of the log itself, but I'm looking to figure out a workflow to duplicate the dots in the design. Here are a couple screenshots to show what I mean. Thanks in advance for any help.

Keeping the same opacity of two objects that overlap
Hi, I have a simple question which I should be able to explain with out a diagram.
I have simply two objects the exact same color which cross paths at certain points. I have applied a opacity amount of 80% to both objects and I want the objects to maintain the same color where they cross paths. Unfortunately when they cross paths the color becomes darker and is still transparent but not equal to both objects where they do not cross paths.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Unable to resize any objects.
Unable to resize any objects. For example, if i draw a square and then click off, I lose the ability to resize the box. It will only give me anchor points which can't be moved. If i try to move an anchor point, I end up moving the object instead. Is this a program error?

Problems Printing old CS1 files in CC
Printing old files imported from CS1 in CC I get the following warnings:
Warning
The document contains artwork that requires flattening.
The document contains RGB images.
The Document Raster Effects resolution is 72 ppi or less.
I really don't know where to begin?
I've changed the document color mode to CMYK - it was RGB originally.
The print preview screen is blank.
This doesn't seem to be the problem as other similar RGB documents print fine.
I've tried to flatten transparency after selecting all items, this doesn't work either.
Why the need to flatten artwork?
File contains gaussian blurs - the blurred items printed in a new file.
I don't think it is the less than 72ppi warning.
I print from Illustrator to PDF CC.
When I copy the paths/objects from one file to a new one the print preview and print work fine?
This is an impractical solution as there are 100s of sub-layers with hidden and locked items.

just updated my OS system to 10.10.2 and am running Illustrator CS6 but it won't launch
Photoshop is working as usual but Illustrator won't open. Does anyone have any ideas that might solve this?

How do I achieve this line art effect?
I'm trying to replicate the design below but I'm not sure if I'm using the correct approach.
First, I used Photoshop to desaturated an image and adjusted the levels. Next I imported into Illustrator and live traced it after tweaking the options.
However, I can't seem to have a nice clean line art like the one above. Do you think that design use another method (maybe manually tracing multiple images using the pen tool)?

Dieser Bundesadler sollte allerdings eine Deutschlandfahne im Schnabel halten. Ich weiß aber einfach nicht wie ich das lösen soll. Könnte mir da jemand weiterhelfen?

Hi, I will make a logo for a school exchange. A part of it is the Federal eagle, which I've already created: logo GAPP.ai - Google drive
However, this Federal Eagle should keep a Germany flag in its beak. I just don´t know how to solve that. Could someone please help me?

I can't believe Illustrator has a Revert option with a short cut so similar to undo. I just found out about this the worst way possible: accidentally reverting 1h30 of extremely productive work on a logo. What a terrible idea. If would at least save a cop

Now I have to re-do it??? Anyone has a magic trick to "undo" the revert? I looked everywhere and only found out it can't be undone so far.

"divide objects below" not working with Text after creating outlines
I have a Sound Wave that i'm trying to cookie-cutter (divide objects below) some text. I have transformed the text to outlines and have it BELOW the sound wave but when i try to (divide objects below) nothing happens. I have tried to use Expand on the text with no luck.
What am i missing here?
